In December 2022, Sear Steakhouse and Lounge opened its doors to the Rockwall Texas community. Since then, this top-rated establishment has created a stellar reputation in the community by creating incredible fine-dining cuisine, that includes prime steak, fresh seafood, and specially sourced chicken and pork, that are paired with craft cocktails or premium wines. This phenomenal restaurant is owned by Gail Fletcher, who is one of, if not the ONLY female restaurant owner in Rockwall County.

An astonishing interior that keeps family memories alive.

The story of Sear Steakhouse and Lounge is built from the love for her family and from her experience with her father’s 2,500-square-foot pavilion built on his 100-acre farm in Rockwall. Her father, Charlie Fletcher, ran the pavilion, Dubbed The Galaxy Farm Party Barn, which was equipped with a full-sized kitchen and chef. The Fletcher family spent many weekends hosting parties for family reunions, churches, or even political gatherings for the local community. This is where Ms. Fletcher’s love for hospitality began.

Today, you see throughout this state of the art restaurant, large and extraordinary artwork that captures the memories of the Fletcher’s family farm. “We took tree branches from my father’s property, after he had passed away, and had them transposed into large, unique paper mache pieces of art that are beautifully matted and framed”, explains Gail Fletcher. Sear Steakhouse and Lounge guests will see art accents throughout the restaurant that are tree or branch related, such as the magnificent light fixture over the private chef’s table.

From the moment you walk into the sophisticated interior that features the Fletcher’s personalized art and sculptures, to the breath-taking views of Lake Ray Hubbard, especially during the sunset.

In addition to the astonishing interior and views, the high-quality food such in-house butchered prime steaks, freshly sourced seafood, and made-from-scratch side dishes, is the ultimate forefront of their operation. The time, talent, and passion from the kitchen staff are apparent with each and every dish that is served.

Sear Steakhouse and Lounge has the honor to have Executive Chef Marcus lead our kitchen. Chef Marcus is an award-winning, renowned chef who has earned his fine reputation over the years through his global travels. He is a certified Sous Chef and Culinarian through the American Chefs Federation and finished top 10 in Culinary Nationals with SKILLS USA and has Michelin Star grading.  He displays his passion and experience with each and every dish that is served at Sear Steakhouse and Lounge.

Sear Steakhouse and Lounge truly understands that it takes more than an extraordinary environment and quality food to stand out from the rest. “It’s our people who have created our success,” states Ms. Fletcher. From our talented Executive Chef and Operations Manager to the Bartenders and Servers, each person operates with a love-for-family mindset and thrives on providing excellent service. Each individual that represents Sear Steakhouse and Lounge went through operational and etiquette training to be sure they will provide a consistent five-star experience to every single guest!
